Healthy Is As Healthy Does

You guys, I'm trying to eat healthy.  I've done this before for like five hours, days and  I eventually wandered to the scale to see if I lost any weight and since I didn't, I kinda gave up.  I get like that.  Why can't weight loss be instant gratification with all the benefits of eating Doritos, Oreo's and drinking 2-liter bottles of Pepsi?  Why must I have to stick with portion control and eat and drink healthy stuff too.  That's just asking way too much of me, especially for someone who gets PMS.  There should be a rule that you are allowed to eat anything you want the week before you menstruate, the week you're menstruating and of course the week after you've menstruated. 

I could easily eat healthy and control my portions for one solid week; that is, if you don't count Friday, Saturday and Sunday because the week is hard and a week of dieting makes that week go by so slow and makes everything so difficult that you deserve to have the weekend to eat and do whatever you want.  But of course Monday's are hard because you have to wake up early again after sleeping in on Saturday (which is dieting!) and Sunday (more dieting on the weekend that I'm supposed to be having fun with food) so I think that you should get to eat anything you want on Monday's.  Start the day off right with a Coke-A-Cola and follow that up with a doughnut.  So that works out to be about three days of hard core dieting and portion control.  That would be easy, especially if I could take long naps on those days and go to bed early because dieting and not eating everything you see is difficult so sleeping is good for portion control.

So yeah, I've been eating slightly healthier.  Last week, I had a salad for three of my meals.  This week I plan to eat salad for 3 of my meals again.  I will also replace a meal with a sweet potato one day this week and another day I'll eat a can of soup (not a cream soup).  So that's five meals this week that are going to be 'better for me' and are hugely controlled in the portion department.  When hungry between meals, I'm grabbing a carrot or apple.  After my ONE (for reals) soda, per day, I will drink water.  That one soda per day is gonna KILL ME!  But this fat isn't going to jump off my body all by itself so I'm gonna starve that crap.

Encouragement?  Even if you're just a lurker........please come out of hiding and encourage me.


I just want to drop 20 pounds but 30 would be awesome.

  2. PS...And I am all for dieting one week a month--But only TUES thru THURS....That's MY kind of diet plan! Hehehe

  4. One meal and one choice at a time! It will all add up- soon you will not even want the non-healthy foods and will crave that water!
